This series consists of an index to naturalization records. For the period 1790-1926, the index shows the applicant's name, address, date and place of birth, occupation, petition and certificate number, spouse's name, and date of admission. For the period 1927-1991, the index consists of certificate stubs. Information on each varies over the 176-year period but at times included the applicant's name and address; age and/or date of birth; declaration, petition, Alien Registration and certificate numbers; information on spouse and children or any name change; and signature. This series includes cards for U. S. Circuit Court for the District of Massachusetts naturalizations prior to 1912.

Serge Koussevitzky was a Russian-born conductor, composer and double-bassist, known for his long tenure as music director of the Boston Symphony Orchestra from 1924 to 1949.
